India will continue to engage with Pakistan, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told a group of editors on Wednesday. “He said we have to keep Pakistan engaged,” Kumar Ketkar, editor of Divya Marathi, said after the media interaction at the Prime Minister’s 7, Race Course Road residence.
Manmohan Singh met five print media editors for 100 minutes.
According to Ketkar, the Prime Minister also said that “he doesn’t have full trust about whatever that is happening within Pakistani army and government”. At the same time, Manmohan Singh asserted that it was “in the healthy interest of India that Pakistan retains democracy and there is no tension (in relations)”.
