Gilani, Manmohan November Meet LikelyIslamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is most likely to meet his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the SAARC Summit to be held in the Maldives Nov 10-11, the Online news agency reported.

Pakisan’s Foreign Office said Thursday officials of both India and Pakistan are working on organising the meeting on the sidelines of the SAARC Summit.
Speaking at the weekly briefing of the foreign office, spokesperson Tehmina Janjua told journalists that the “dates (of the meeting) are yet to be finalised”.
The 17th SAARC Summit’s theme is “Building Bridges” – an enhanced focus on increasing transportation and communication links, promoting regional trade and investment; and freer movement of people to facilitate cultural exchanges.
Rejecting a suggestion that Pakistan has put Kashmir on the back burner in favour of positive trade talks with India, Janjua stressed that Kashmir remained “part and parcel” of the talks going on with India at every level. “We would also like to express complete solidarity with the Kashmiri people as they mark today, 27 October, as Black Day,” said Janjua.
The last Dogra king of Jammu and Kashmir Maharaja Hari Singh signed the accession document Oct 26, 1947. By executing this document under the provisions of the Indian Independence Act 1947, Maharaja Hari Singh agreed to accede to India.
On Oct 27, 1947, Indian troops landed in Srinagar to push back Pakistan-sponsored tribals who had invaded the state with the active assistance of the Pakistani army.
